My Husband Bill

Darling you are really a saint,
for I know that if I ever faint,
That you'll be right there
to smooth back my hair.

On you I know I can depend,
my feelings, I know, you'll never offend.
You'll cook the meals, or clean the house;
you are such a wonderful spouse!

Whenever I feel a little bit bad,
you can sense it and always feel sad.
You've proved it many times before
that you'll pay the bills or go to the store.

Without you, I would not know what to do;
I know I would surely feel very blue.
You'll always be there, I know for sure;
your love is the best, it's very pure.

The sun's looking bright and shiny today;
like your smile, it has something to say.
You don't love me for money or looks;
or for the knowledge I get from books.

Sometimes I wonder how you put up with me,
Unconditional love, that must be the key.
