I went to the doctor, today it's true: My legs are swelling, my hands are blue. They also seem puffy, and sometimes white: Red dots on my face, I'm sure a sight. My lungs are filled with fluid, I've got hypertension: I can't remember anything, what was I going to mention? My joints are all swollen, they all seem to ache: It's not just in my head, the pain isn't fake. It seems that when I eat, I get real bad heartburn: What side do I sleep on, which way do I turn? They called it Scleroderma, I've never heard those words: If this is what it does to you, I think it's for the birds. I hate the thought of medication, it gives me the chills: And now with this disease, I take alot of pills. Someday they'll find a cure, at least that is our hope: But until that day comes, we'll just have to cope. |
