Tragedy
9=11=01

We were glued to our TV's in disbelief;
Our hearts were filled with so much grief.

We couldn't believe what we were seeing;
This was caused by a human being?

The disbelief turned to sadness;
Who could figure out this madness?

While we watched we couldn't stop the tears;
All America had the same fears.

We watched until we felt we were dazed;
We couldn't pull away, we were so amazed.

Soon our amazement turned to fury;
We wanted to be the judge and the jury.

It's easy to let this heartache turn to revenge;
Our families and friends we want to avenge.

I can't find the words to express how I feel;
All that has happened is so unreal.

In this time of desolation;
I hope we can find some consolation.

A bit of faith, a glimmer of hope;
How will we ever find a way to cope?

We didn't fall apart, instead we grew;
America will find a way to pull through.
