Curb Endo

To do a curb endo, roll forward slowly towards a curb. Just as the front tire hits the curb, push forward on the handlebars and unwieght the back end of the bike by jumping up. Once you reach maximum height, let the back wheel drop to the ground. To ride out, let the bike roll backwards a little, then apply the back brake to stop and pedal away. Keep your pedals level while doing the endo position.

180 Barspin

Do this trick while rolling in a large circle counterclockwise. Roll slowly forward and take your right hand and put it on the left grip backwards. QUICKLY spin the bars 180 degrees. Keep the pedals level and spread your knees apart so that they clear the bars. Once the bars are backwards resume pedaling. To spin them around so that they are forwards, repeat this procedure.

Handlebar Ride

Roll forward at a fast walking pace. Put your right foot over the bar and onto the right fornt peg. Take your left hand and put it on your seat. Put most of your weight on your left hand and bring your left foot around to the front left peg. To keep up your speed, kick the tire with your foot. To ride out, reverse the process.

Barhop

To jump over the bars, keep your pedals level and roll slowly forward. The key to not hanging up on the cross bar is to hold your weight up as you jump over. Keep your arms stiff and bring your knees up to your chest. Once over the bars you can go into a Handlebar Ride.(see trick above)

Dirt Jumping

Swing Out - This is an easy trick to do off of any jump. While in the air, push your bike off to the side, and then bring it back.

Dead Sailor - When you are in the air, stiffen your arms and legs. It's so easy it's dumb.

Bar-turn - While in the air turn your bars to the left or the right.

Kickout - As soon as your back wheel leaves the jump, swing the rear of your bike around to the right or the left with your hips and legs. Once you swing your bike out bring it right back in. Don't stay sideways too long. A "full swing" is about 80 degrees and looks cool.

One-footer - Simply take your right or left foot off your pedal, kick it out to the side, and bring it back on before you land. Your crank will rotate downward when your foot comes off the pedal, so be sure to get it back on in time to return your crank to a level position. start out small and gradually get bigger.

One-hander - Take one hand off the bars and bring it back. Try to keep your bars straight the whole time. Start out small. You can do many variations to this trick, like a tire-grab or a seat-grab, which will help you out later on different tricks.

Can-can - It's alot like a one-footer except you cross your leg over the top tube. This is another trick that you have to start out small and work bigger.

X-up - Turn your bars a full 180 degrees and then turn them back to their normal position. You have to kind of "stretch" your shoulders and arms a bit to get the bars 180 degrees around.

Tabletop - Turn your bars to one direction and tip your bike horizontally the other direction. You end up turning your bike on its side and parallel to the ground.

Street

Bunnyhop - A bunnyhop is one of the more fundemental tricks that is used for a lot of harder tricks. It is basically like a wheelie and an endo at the same time. It is a hard trick to teach. Basically, you pull the front of the bike up like a wheelie, and then while the front is going up you lean forwardon the handlebars and pull up the back. It takes a lot of practice, but once you can do one well, you can do a lot of things.

Wheelie - pull up on the bars and pedal. Find the balance point over the rear axle and you can ride wheelies forever.

Manual - In a wheelie you pedal, but in a manual you don't. To do a manual, pull back on the bars, AND lean way back. Hold on with your fingertips. By "flexing" your knees in and out, you can ride a manual a while. It's easy to do.

Peg leads - While you are doing a manual push forward. This will level your bike out and you will be in the air.

Icepick - An icepick is stalling on a surface with your back peg. Bunnyhop up on a wall and land on your rear peg. Stall there for a second, and then hop back down. Don't to stall too long, because that will make it harder to hop back down. At first it may be hard to jump back down. Lean and hop away as hard as you can.

Feeble grind - Bunny hop the back peg onto a curb, bench or a railing. Bring the front wheel down on the top of the curb and grind down it. When you are done, bunny hop off the curb and ride away.
