Welcome to the web site about my 1994 Ford Taurus SHO.  Here you'll find some information about the modifications I made to my former SHO.  Included are some pictures of her in her shinning moments and some pictures of the wreckage after the accident.  This site is image intensive, so it could take a little while to load.

First, A Tribute to my
1994 Ford Taurus SHO
10/23/96 to 03/25/99
"May you rest in peace, beloved friend."
my beloved car, before her untimely demise
This was my 1994 Taurus SHO.  She recently met her end in an accident as she sacrificed her life so that my family and I could live.  My wife, her parents, and I were driving home one night when a tractor trailer ran through a stop sign going 40 miles per hour.  By the time I saw the truck, it was too late.  I hit the brakes and turned the wheel to the right.  We struck the truck cab on it's right side, between the gas tank and it's rear set of wheels.  The impact spun us around 270 degrees from the direction we were going.  When I woke up, my father-in-law was slouched over me, unconscious.  My right arm was hurt and my feet were pinned underneath the pedals.  The airbags had gone off and the dust and smoke from them filled the air.  My wife and her mother were in the back seat and they were both injured from the crash, but they were OK.  My father-in-law began to moan and he regained consciousness.  The ladies helped him out of the wreckage.  I had to remove my shoes to free myself from the car.  Then I noticed that the driver's door had been sprung open.  I hate to think about what could've happened had I not been seat belted.  Well, some nice folks who were passing by, saw the accident and called for some help.  The police showed up, followed soon after by a couple of ambulances.  I gave the police my license and my wife my wallet and I was strapped onto a gurney for a trip to the hospital.  My wife and her parents would be following shortly behind in the next ambulance.  The police later told me that the truck driver never saw the stop sign and he admitted that the accident was his fault.  I don't blame him, that's why they call it an accident.  In retrospect, we all consider ourselves very lucky to walk away from that incident.  So now, we have a feeling that we've been given a second chance.  I appreciate my friends, family, and the ones I love, a little more with every passing day.  The car is gone, and like I said, although she may have been special to me, she couldn't mean more to me than my life and my family.  So rest in peace, dear lady;  We treated each other well, and you will always be remembered.  Above all, I thank you for the sacrifice you made for us.
.
Below are some pictures of the wreckage.  Please remember folks:  Live each day to the fullest, for it can be so suddenly and violently torn from you.  And above all, be careful.
A side shot, showing a majority of the damage to the car.  The rear door was shut and the front door was sprung open towards the fender.
The damage to the rear end was caused by the spinning of the car.
Ouch!  This shot shows the point of impact; pretty much right at the front left tire.
A picture is worth a thousand words; and a few days off from work!
The front bumper cover (laying to the left, in front of the car) has a sign post stuck in it.  No one knows where it came from!  Weird, huh?
Some more to come; when I get them back from my attorney's office.  The rest of the page as it was, will remain for reference.  There are a few pictures and some information below on this car's successor; my 1996 Ford Taurus SHO!!!  Thanks, to all the folks on SHOtimes and in NESHOC for their words of kindness to my family and I.  Your support is appreciated.
Regards,  Michael & Michelle Holhut
