Patrick Kelly Groen was born in Santa Cruz on August 8, 1976 .
He passed away February 17, 1999.

Patrick is survived by his wife Jessica, his parents Dick and Kathy, his brother Rich
and sister-in-law Julie, his grandfather Ronald Harrington, two nieces,
two nephews and many, many friends and loved ones whose lives he's touched along the way.
Death comes to us through many doors. Sometimes it slips through a door marked            "           merciful healer" and liberates a person from pain, illness, and a worn-out body.
In these cases, death makes sense; it's easy to see how death fits naturally
into the cycle of life. Any death certainly produces grief in those who survive.
A natural death following a long, full life, somehow tempers grief's pain when
we can look back on a life well lived, full of achievement and a smooth transition from this world into the next.
But then there are times when death bursts through the door marked "obscene               intruder." It comes as a vicious thief who robs the victim and family of
health, happiness, and so many goals and aspirations that we thought God intended      for us. These deaths are untimely, from our vantage point. They violate
the natural order of things. They make no sense to us; they frustrate any atteprovide
us with tidy answers when in agony we ask why?

In
loving Memory
of
Patrick Kelly Groen
August 8, 1976-February 17, 1999

Patrick’s Life, on Earth was short,
just Twenty-two Years,
He leaves behind, with All, Who loved Him,
Memories, so Dear.
He lived Life, to It's fullest,
to the very End,
Bringing Joy and Happiness,
to Family and Friends.
He loved The Sea and Surfing,
waiting, for The Wave,
Then, standing on His Surf Board,
Riding, Tall and Brave.
Now, He can Surf, Forever,
for He has caught, The Wave,
That carried Him, Beyond the Blue,
out, Beyond, the Grave.
Loved and Missed, by Family and Friends,
Forever, You will Be,
Farewell, Our Dearest Patrick,
"Surf’s Up", thru Eternity.

With Love
Forever & Always
Your Friend,
