content: I haven't eaten MacDonalds since 1985 and I think that was a sundae or chips. I recall the burgers
to taste nothing like food. I also don't drink the colas, or support the tobacco industry..... It pisses me
off that people are so complacent that they allow these things to become part of their lives without
considering the consequences to themselves and the world. What about all the small businesses that
were pushed out by these multinationals?

And I don't think Orange Roughy should be fished at all......!!!! (Some things should be just let alone - or
better still protected - especially from big companies that want to turn them into inedible
unrecognisable substances that they try and pass off as food)

ok that's enough ranting.......

content: who ever you are i congratulate you and commend you on your genius! i am one of those
unsuspecting fools that stumbled onto your websit looking for the ribbon campaign. i too advocate
against mcdonalds and it was great that you are voicing what you feel. if you have any more
suggestions or comments or astonishing statistics i can use against the "mcdonaldization" of america
and the plight of the rainforest please contact me. if you have not read the mcdonaldization of society
please do so, i think you will enjoy it as much as i did in college.

Thanks for the info! And for the suggested reading. I didn't read the whole thing, just part of it, but it was rather thrilling. I used a lot of it for my research paper and other writings by George Ritzer including "Slow Food."

content: I agree with ya, Mcdonalds and Burger King are dangerously taking over the worlds ever so
important to the future. And though most seem that there is nothing that we can do about this, there
is actualy many simple ways of opposing this. 1st) write numerous letters with signitures telling the
copiration of your views, while having others contribute their imput. This really gets to the excutives.
2nd) Post your opinion on banners infront of the store, so others realize what they are contributing to.
3rd) Get the media involved with your protesting. The media will effect them deeply. Im out, if you want

Well, thanks for the advice, but I'd rather not get thrown in jail for the 2nd one. I'm not too up to date on the policies including vandalism, but they are likely just to take them down. I dunno - I already write letters... And the media doesn't care. *shrug* Whaddayagonnado?
