Materials
There are a few different materials which you will need to make and present a perfect shooter.
Please remember that 30 ml is about equal to 1 oz, this will help those who don't use the metric system.
Shooters don't have to be served in a shot glass all the time.
The idea of a shot is to be able to swallow it down within one mouthful.
Basic requirements:-
1. Nip Pourers- These make it easy to pour the ingredients into the shot glass so that you will be able to measure more easily. Some designs will pour slowly and others will pour fast. If you can find one that is adjustable, that is preferred.
2. Spoon (optional)- Spoons are handy to use to place a small amount of liquid on top of a shot. They are also handy to float ingredients until your skill is higher, or the liquids will mix. You can use the spoon either side up depending on your experience. Remember that practice makes perfect.
3. Straws- Straws are used to drink the shot in some drinks. They are also used to place a special effect in the shot glass.
4. Jigger- A handy piece of equipment which you will find doesn't usually have much to with shots. It does however, come in handy when making a 90 ml shot.
5. Steady Hands- These are a requirement of many jobs, but when working with small quantities, will make your shot a mini-cocktail, or just a shot.
6. Lighter/Matches- You will need these to light some shooters. They will also be helpful to light someone's cigarette while they are waiting.
