The artwork in this issue is in my opinion, tops. The penciller, Andy Ice showed a major improvement in his depiction of the Beasts. He certainly came a long way since issue one.
This is a two page spread that starts off the comic. In this issue, Ruhin tells the Beasts of how he once ruled their planet, causing nothing but war and destruction by keeping the Beasts under his mental control. The action becomes intense as Squid is killed, Owl, Gorilla, and Toad face off against theior dopplegangers, and all the Beasts, good and evil must join forces to stop Ruhin. Perhaps the highest point of the comic is the arrival of Pirate Lion and Webslinger Spider in the Shocking Shark transport.
