Marinigh

Height: 100 Meters | Weight: 90,000 Metric Tons

Abilities: Marinigh exists in the realm of dreams, her powers come from the nightmares of others. She has near limitless powers in the dream realm, but it is unknown what her abilities would be should she cross over into the real world. She has strong psychic powers, able to communicate with any being through mental telepathy, a necessary power in the dream realm. In her world she is ruler, and there are no known boundaries to her powers. If the mind she encounters has a fear or uncertainty of any kind, it provides the energy she needs.

Beware the wrath of a woman scorned. Truer words were never spoken.

She exists in the realm of dreams, harboring a horde of terrors unleashed into the minds of humans when we dream. They are our fears, our worst hidden terrors locked away in the depths of out psyche. These are what feed Marinigh, the sustenance that keeps her demonic power forever increasing. But her existence in the realm of dreams became a lonely one. Though her power was absolute in this world, she found herself suddenly stricken by a dream that showed no fears, displayed not a single hidden worry, concern, or object of considered threat. Surely this thing was not human! Composed of a myriad of green and blue lights swirling into one another with a violent beauty about them. A city came into his line of sight and was instantly destroyed, the inhabitants fleeing in the wake of his untamed fury. Marinigh’s curiosity was intrigued to say the least. When the dream suddenly took a savage turn into a battle, she saw him for the first time: Godzilla squaring off with a slew of past foes. King Ghidorah, Angila, Ebirah, Titanosaurus, MechaGodzilla, the space beast Orgus: they all fought him, they all died. His roars stretched across the landscape like the sunlight in a violent wail. Marinigh, for the first time, felt chills race up her spine. Power was gratifying, but lonely. As she watched this beast destroy his enemies with out mercy Marinigh realized that she was, for the first time, smitten with Godzilla. She watched his tirelessly through the realm of dreams and nightmares, taking great pleasure in seeing the monster appear in the dreams of others, an even more horrifying version of himself than he actually was. She delighted in their fear of him, taken in by his ability to throw an entire country into the pits of terror with the simple mention of his name.

When she felt the time was right, she at least revealed herself to him. The beast had just slain another victim, the scent of his bloodlust hung thick in the air. And then he saw her. In a single glance he could see what was in her eyes, understood what she thought and felt. In his own mind he weighed the notion. Marinigh would never forget the flicker of interest. Another had never approached him in this manner before. Was she even of his own kind? In a blink she vanished, her appearance becoming scattered amongst his many long nights immersed in the dreamworld. She waited for him, waited for the right time. But that time would never come. In a single dream se thought was harmless, Godzilla caught sight of her, and the interest- what she mistook to be interest- manifest itself for what it truly was; evaluation. He had not taken an interest in her, he had been studying her! Observing her actions and abilities like a lion whose eyes are fixed on his prey. And what easy prey she had allowed herself to be. With a shattering blast of nuclear power Godzilla shredded a hole straight through his perceived opponent, leaving her to lay in a shiftless heap surrounding by a thick swirl of blackness pouring from her being. Her feelings for him had been measured, weighed, and deemed unworthy. She watched him turn from her in disgust. Most creatures he battled in his dreams were infinitely more challenging than she was. Her simple defeat bitterly slew any possible spark of interest he might have in her. She watched Godzilla leave her, and vanish into the darkness.

Oh beware the woman scorned…

Depression came, and that was simple enough to deal with, but then came the rage. Rejected? Her? And in such a pompous manner… Her mind raced with ways to torture the beast, how could she possibly make every moment he closed his eyes a living hell? The answer was as foul as corpse’s dream: she couldn’t. What could be done to a creature that feared nothing? Godzilla had no horrors, no dreaded secrets locked away in his head. He was bold, fearless. She could not defeat him, nor did she know if she could given the opportunity. It would be easier to watch another do it. It would be easier to find another whose hatred matched her own. In a twisted circumstance only cruel fate would allow, Marinigh found a new creature to do what she could not. His was the tortured mind of infinite maniacs, living and dead. His screams resounded through the Earth, though hidden away by a planet ashamed of its dark secret. Dreams of blood washing over his body filled his mind with a dark ecstasy reserved for demons…

Marinigh had found a mate whose psychosis and insanity matched her own: Troona… .
