Lori's Bear Shelf

Anna joins race for Bruin Party Nomination

Bruin Party

Anna announced her candidacy for the Nomination of The Bruin Party becoming the
only female bear in the race so far. Taking her campaign
directly to the current leader in a fight for the party's nomination. She announced
her entrance into the race at her Campaign Headquarters. Here is what she had to say

"If we are to have a happy and safe bear shelf where every bear can be assured of
equality and a life of prosperity and dignity. Then, fellow bears, we must have a leader
who is compasionate and filled with respect for bear-life. We must be driven not by the desire
to aquire a greater store of goods. But by a willingness to love and respect each other and
all the citizens of the Bear Shelf. We must have a bear shelf were each bear takes responsibilty
for himself as well as his fellow bears. To reach those goals we need a compassionate and worthy
yet modest leader and for that reason I am hereby announcing my candidacy for The President of Lori's
Bear Shelf!"

As a candidate though Anna may have questionable qualifications. She hasn't held public office
unlike all the other bears in the race so far. Instead she has gotten her experience from
a number of various positions within the bureacracy of the bear shelf. There are indications that her Uncle, Lord Sterling (Ursa Party ..Senior Senator from Lori's Office District) may have helped her in getting those positions. She has been the President of
the Oatmeal Cookie foundation of Show Case (Lori's office District) for 6 months before that she was in charge of
Bear Housing for The Entire District.

Simon Campaigns in Master Bedroom District

Front runner Simon had just begun to campaign to a group of voters in the Lori's Nightstand area
by the famous Teddy Lamp when he heard the news about Anna jumping into the race for the Bruin Party
nomination.

"I think it's great that she's decided to join the race, she'll make a fine candidate." When asked what
he thought of her as a running mate he only replied. "It's little early to be discussing that but she would
make someone a fine a running mate that's for sure."

Brownie in mysterious meeting in Big Dresser.

This odd collection of Bear Shelf citizens was caught by a photographer early today
in the Master Bedroom District. This is Ursa Party Candidate Brownie (on the right)
meeting with Bear Shelf hero Glen who was also Bear of the Week two weeks ago. In
addition Scarl-Bear (center) was present as was Cajun-Bear and Rvnwolf-Bear (center-left and left).
All of these bears were selected Bear of the Week in January. It's possible that Brownie
who as of yet has not recieved that honour himself is looking for endorsements.
But there are rumours that one or more of these bears may be planning their own run
for the nomination. Is it possible that Brownie might be considering quiting the race
since his poll numbers have been so low, and throwing his support to one of these bears?
I guess we'll have to wait and see

Teddy Bear Roars to poll Victory in Tuesday's poll

The statistics are in from last Tuesday's poll and Teddy Bear
has pulled a major upset rapidly moving up and tying his position with
front runner Simon. The poll results show that had the election been held
Tuesday Teddy would have been in a statistical dead heat with Simon literally
too close to call. The polls further showed that Teddy took most of his votes from
tail-ender Brownie although he did whittle away at Simon's lead. Teddy was visiting
Bear-Cision Headquarters when the news of the poll results came though. "I am delighted"
said Mr Bear, thank you so much to every one who voted for me."

Simon not worried about poll results

Simon was on a campaign stop in the bathroom district tuesday when he heard the poll results
"Polls, polls polls in the end what do they really mean? Those numbers don't mean a
a thing until we get to April. ( refering to the Bear Shelf Primary Season which begins in April)
I'm just going to go right on doing what I'm doing and in the end we'll see." Some bears thought
Simon wasn't using his time and resources to the best advantage by organizing a campaign stop in
the bathroom district. Since that district only has one delegate. So far Simon is the only candidate
to visit this district
