Brownie Surges to Tie Teddy Bear for first place
in latest poll, Simon hold second place,
Sterling surges four points, Cajun-Bear enters
race for Ursa Party Nomination, Scarl-Bear announces
his candidacy as an independent.
Hubby's Sofa District: A very happy Brownie met with jubilant supporters
this afternoon. "Hard work pays off" he said in a brief statement.
"I told you that if we just kept our focus on what was important we
would prevail and we did." He was refering to the latest Poll that showed
Brownie in a dead-heat with Teddy for first place.
Over in the Bruin camp there was cause for celebration as well
Bruin front runner Simon managed to hold on to a respectable
second place behind the two Ursa Party front runners. "Again
I tell you that polls are not important. In the end we will be
victorious." He said during an address at a fund raiser.
Bear Shelf 2, Lori's Office District: Bruin party candidate
Lawrence Sterling III was in the biggest district in the Bear
Shelf today campaigning in the financial center. Bankers, investors
and Big Business bears lined up to show their support and give
their endoresment to one of their own. "Mr Sterling is clearly the
best qualified and most experienced bear in the race." said Grizzley
R. Goldstamp today. Mr Goldstamp is the Chief Executive officer of
Great Bear Financial. The Bear Shelf's biggest banking and investment
firm.
Living Room District: Cajun-Bear finally confirmed that the rumours about
her are true when she announced her candidacy for President of Lori's Bear
Shelf.
Ms Cajun made the following remarks during her announcement
"I don't know about you bears. But I for one am tired of seeing
our bear shelf being slowly taken over and run by big money bears
who think they can buy anything they lay their hands on! Furthermore
I am tired of seeing our freedom and individuality being eroded by
expedient do-now , think-later politics where the motivation
is never what's good for the bears or makes the bears happier and
more secure. But rather the motivation is how do I make a fast buck
and get myself re-elected? I can no longer stand by and do nothing
while our independence is taken from us. Therefore I am announcing
my candidacy for the President of Lori's Bear Shelf."
Marblehead: Scarl-bear held an informal meeting of select news media
and a few supporters in his office to announce that he is running for
President of Lori's Bear Shelf as an independent. "I just don't feel
that either party's platform is consistent with my feelings about government.
I feel that we need a stronger defense of the bear shelf and greater freedom.
We need lower taxes but a greater feeling of compassion of our fellow bears.
I believe that government can accomplish that if govenrnment had the right
kind of leader. Therefore that's why I am running for President. And I want to
see OREO's in that cookie jar!
