Teddy joins race for Ursa Party Nomination

Ursa Party

In a suprise move today Teddy Bear of the Bear Shelf (Lori's Office District) announced his candidacy for the nomination of The Ursa Party. Teddy's slogan say's it all; "Experience Counts" and he certainly has that. He's the oldest living citizen in the bear shelf.

"I can remember when the Bear Shelf was in another state. I can remember when there were only four bears living here. I'll bet none of you young fellers here can remember that." He said during his announcement speech. Mister Bear went on to remind people that some of these "up starts" running for office haven't been with us that long. This was an obvious dig at front runner Simon who has only been a citizen for a little over a year.

"It's time we got some leadership around here who knows what a bear needs day in and day out. There is only one bear here who knows that and that's me" said Mr Bear at the end of his speech.

Front Runner Simon celebrates widening poll stats

Bruin party candidate Simon was happy Friday upon hearing the latest poll results from the Lori's Bear Shelf Web Site. "I have no doubt that the bears of the Bear Shelf are going to recognize that I am the right bear for the job." he said. Simon was back in his home district at a campaign rally and fund raiser when he heard the news.

A bad day for Brownie

Today is certainly not one of the better days for Ursa Party Candidate Brownie who was on a campaign swing through Lori's Office Today. He had made a stop in Bear Shelf 2 the biggest district with the most delegates at stake. He was intending to begin a day of heavy canvasing and campaigning when he heard the latest poll results. "I don't think it's important, the campaign has only just started we are still a long way from the election here. You are going to have ups and downs. In the end we are going to win and that's all that matters." But it's not just the seven point drop in the polls that has Brownie worried there is also the announcement earlier today of Teddy Bear's move to take the Ursa nomination from Brownie as well. "I am glad that a repsected citizen like Mr Bear has decided to join the race" he said. "I am sure that myself and even Mr Simon will benefit from his wisdom and experience. Welcome to the campaign Mr Bear." Ironically the two bears Brownie is speaking to in the pic above are long time Teddy Bear supporters Lord and Lady Sterling. It's not likely that he's winning any converts in this crowd.
