Egg donation - for donors |
If you have decided to become an anonymous donor then in Britain the recipients will not be able to find out who you are if you wish for complete anonymity. Obviously in some situations where the donor wishes to donate to a specific person, for example between sisters or friends, then the donor and recipient will know each other.
An exception to this is where a child is born with a disability as a result of information that the donor has not disclosed about herself. In that case, the child would be able to sue the donor, and it is inevitable that the child's parents would become involved.
No information whatsoever about any particular donor may be released to the general public.
