I donated anonymously. Can I change my mind?

Donations made anonymously between 1991 and 2005 will remain anonymous unless the donor explicitly requests otherwise. After April 2005, donors who donated anonymously will be able to re-register with the HFEA. It will then be possible for identifying details to be disclosed to any offspring, should they ask.

At the time of writing, arrangements for doing this are still being made by the HFEA.
