FRIENDS WITHOUT FACES

We sit and we type, and we stare at our screens
We all have to wonder, what this possibly means.
With our mouse we roam, through the rooms in a maze
Looking for something or someone, as we sit in a daze.
We chat with each other, we type all our woes
Small groups we do form, and gang up on our foes.
We wait for somebody, to type out our name
We want recognition, but it is always the same.
We give kisses and hugs, and sometimes flirt
In ICQ we chat deeply, and reveal why we hurt.
We do form friendships - but - why we don't know
And some of these friendships, will flourish and grow.
Why is it on screen, we can be so bold
Telling our secrets, that have never been told.
Why is it we share, the thoughts in our mind
With those we can't see, as though we were blind.
The answer is simple, it is as clear as a bell.
We all have our problems, and need someone to tell.
We can't tell real people, but tell someone we must
So we turn to the 'puter, and to those we can trust.
Even though it is crazy, the truth still remains
They are Friends Without Faces, and odd little names.

Dreamcatcher Poem!! Written by my dear friend SHAMAN !!

I Am a Dreamcatcher
When in sleep our spirit rests
And all is of the even breath,
Some say we are on beat away
From endless peace and quiet death.
Dreams travel in the void,
Pausing in their ceaseless flight,
Assault in defenseless slumber
To rob us of a share of night.

Dreams may vary from fair to black,
Some will fill your heart with dread.
My purpose is to sort them outWhen I am hanging o'er thy bed.
My webbing is a snare for dreams
That show the awful, fearsome things.
While the good flow through the center
withour least hindrance from my strings.
The feather sets the dream adrift
To gently settle on one's mind.
My province is, as oft said measure,
To assist yon' sleeper so he my find-
PEACE

What ARE Dreamcatchers???

Dreamcatchers are of Native American orgin, in
fact, they still make them today.
There are many different stories about the Native American dreamcatcher. They differ
from trible to tribe, but have a lot of the same elements. I'll tell about the one most
common to me.
The dreamcatcher was originally used by Native American grandmothers to
hang over thier babies' cribs to they would have good dreams. The belief is that the
web will catch all of the babies' dreams, and the good ones will flow down to the baby
via the leather lacing and the feather attatched to it will give the dreams flight. The bad
dreams will remain in the web, and get burned by the morning light. Today,
dreamcatchers are used with all ages.
