| Enloe hit a light pole head first and is in serious condition after suffering head injuries and a broken leg. He remained in a coma at St. Francis Hospital for almost three weeks before being transfered to Rockford Medical Center. "We took him home to die," said the general surgeon who flew with Enloe and asked not to be identified. "We felt his days were numbered, but then I got a call on Christmas day from Enloe to thank me. It was one of the most extraordinary cases I have ever seen. I thought he would never wake up." Peoria Journal Star | Jay Enloe believes it's not what happens to you that's important, but rather how you respond to what happens. After a near death experience, three months in a coma, and a doctor's prognosis of life in a vegetative state Jay overcame all odds. Enloe, now an inspirational speaker, shares his story of courage, commitment, and compassion with audiences across the country, from corporations, to schools, as well as churches. His message and humor have made an impact on many people's lives. |
