COMPRESSING
NON TRANSPARENT GIF IMAGES
This
screen shot below was compressed
using the
'GIF Optimizer'
When it was first created it was over
400kb
now it is approximately 38kb
Once
you have created your image
go to FILE >>>EXPORT
>>> GIF Optimizer
THEN
Click on 'NONE' and press OK
The above image was reduced to 85% of
it's original size
then compressed as above.
If you Click on
the "Download Times' Tab
you will see how long approximately
your image will
take to download with different speed
modems.
I haven't gone
into great detail here, especially in
using the WIZARD, since I feel once
you have mastered this, then you
can play around with the WIZARD
yourself until you get the 'feel' of
it and see the results different
settings produce.
