Unfortunately, Andy has not had his central contract for the England squad renewed for this summer. Michael Atherton is now the only Lancashire player to be included in the 'elite 12', as Chris Schofield was also strangely overlooked. Looking forward to a good season of Lancashire matches :)

England beat Zimbabwe in today's
one day international at Old Trafford, and Andy
hit a brilliant 42 not out, which earned him the
man of the match award. He did refuse to speak to
the media after winning it though, and who can
blame him really because they all suck with
style. You go Andy! (If only all reporters were
like me, the world would be a much better place I
reckon :) )

Sorry about the delay in this,
I've been away for a few days - but they've been
calling him! It's absolutely disgraceful is this,
I read in the paper the England selectors have
told him his England career is being threatened
because he is allegedly too fat. (Isn't that
attitude a bit 'fattist'?) Apparently Andy has
since stood up for himself against these
ridiculous allegations (you go Andy!). (Ever
professional reporting there from Karen := )

Lancashire won their first
rain-hit day night match of the season against
Northants at Old Trafford last night. Andy scored
7 off 9 balls (1 six!), and finished the match
with bowling figures of 8-0-30-2.

Good morning Andy Flintoff! Calm
yourself, yesterday I met Andy, for the first
(and probably last) time ever. I greeted him as
if he were the king or something, with a hearty
'Good morning!' It was before Lancashire's match
against Worcestershire, which Lancs sadly lost,
but Andy scored a magnificent 64.
8th June 2000
Today, Lancashire beat Hampshire
at Aigburth, Liverpool. Lancashire won the toss
and elected to field, which proved a good
decision as Hampshire were bowled out for just 95
in their first innings. Andy's bowling figures
were 5-2-12-3. In Lancashire's innings he scored
a magnificent 73 off 108 balls, before being
trapped leg before by Alan Mullally. In
Hampshire's second innings, Andy once again did
some damage, with bowling figures of 10.4-5-18-4.

Well, England beat Zimbabwe by a
hefty margin when the first test ended last
Sunday. Unfortunately, Andy only scored one run
in the first England innings, and wasn't offered
a chance to redeem himself as England didn't bat
again! Oh well, maybe next time :)

Tons and tons of news to bring you
today. Sorry about the delay in me updating this
site.
I saw Andy last Sunday! It was at Lancashire's
match against Leicestershire in the National
League at Old Trafford. Unfortunately he only
scored 7, but his bowling was a bit better with
the figures being 9-1-26-1. The match was tied in
the end.
Against Durham in the Benson and Hedges quarter
final on May 9th, he scored 10 runs, and his
bowling figures were 10-1-30-2. Lanky won the
match by 3 wickets.
Lancashire's County championship match against
Durham at the Riverside finished today, with
Lancs winning by 141 runs. Andy scored 10 in each
innings (favourite number at the moment?!) His
bowling figures for the first were 5-2-10-0 and
for the second they were 4-1-3-0.
Today the squad was announced for England's first
test against Zimbabwe, which starts on Thursday.
andy was included in the 13 squad members, as
were Lancs teammates Michael Atherton and Chris
Schofield. Well Done!

Lancashire beat Leicestershire at
Old Trafford by an innings and 25 runs. Leicester
batted first, in this innings Andy's bowling
figures were 18-7-31-2. In Lancashire's innings,
he scored a magnificent 119 off 206 balls (19
fours, 1 six). Lanky then went on to well and
truly thrash Leicestershire in the final innings,
with Andy's bowling figures being 8-4-8-1.
29th April 2000
Lancashire's County Championship
match against Kent at Canterbury was abandoned.
In the match, Andy top scored in Lancashire's
first (and only) innings with 77 runs off 82
balls, before being caught by Rahul Dravid off
the bowling of Martin Saggers. The innings lasted
for 207 minutes and contained 13 fours.
22nd April 2000
In Lancashire's Benson and Hedges
Cup match (20/4/00) against Derbyshire at Derby,
Andy scored 70 runs before being caught off the
bowling of Karl Krikken. The innings lasted for
92 minutes and included 8 fours and 1 six. His
bowling figures in the match were 9-1-40-1.
Sadly, this was not enough to prevent Lancashire
suffering a 6 wicket loss at the hands of the
home side.
