Hi! Thanks for stopping by! Maybe you'd like to know a little about me (ruler of the World). My name is Lucy and I am 39, a single parent, and a postal worker. Doesn't sound very good does it? Well it's not as bad as all that. I have many and varied interests and hobbies. I work and play on Long Island, New York, USA. Recently, I caught the genealogy bug. My sister has been tracing our roots for several years now. Whenever she would talk about it everyone's eyes would glaze over. A few months ago she asked me if I would accompany her to do research in Connecticut. I agreed, of course, because I love her and she really wanted the company. It just took that one trip to get me hooked. Now I am running through skull orchards like a maniac "whether through rain, sleet or snow, or dark of night..." (or however it goes). | ||||

| Through this addiction to genealogy, I have moved on to an interest in the HARD stuff - history! Remember when we were kids and history class was so boring? What did we need to know this for? Now I can't get enough of it. I have to admit my love of history began several years ago when I saw those movies on Arts and Entertainment Television (A&E). You know like Gettysburg and the Horatio Hornblower series. My mother would come into the room to see what I was so rapt up in. "Didn't you already see that?" then, "Are watching that again?" Now, of course, they have created the History Channel for me. So shoot me.
 Did I mention that I like surfing the web and creating web pages? Oh, you guessed that, did you? When I find a graphics site (or whatever) I like, I hunt for webrings to find pages like it. What a great idea! Well enough about my interests. Why don't you traverse the site and see what you can find.
