Chloe, bringing back his mouse for another round of fetch!!
Chloe
Have you ever carried out a plan that you thought was flawless and well deserving of a pat on the back, only to realize later that plan had a few flaws? Here's my situation; you know well that Chloe loves his toy mice, in fact now that he's in his toddler stage as soon as they are picked up he will take them from his bowl and redistribute them, now when I'm cleaning house I often get excited when I find a stash of mice, but it didn't take long for me to realize that as innocent as his pile may appear careful observation is necessary. It seems when Chloe catches a real mouse he will stash it with his toy mice, I've been privy to this experience three times now. But I think the most current experiences are what have me realizing the flaw in encouraging him to chase and fetch his mice. In the last week he has brought me two different "real" mice to play fetch with, no I refuse to and I can't convince him to pick them up and put them in the trash. Oh sure, I'm proud of him for being such a good mouser, but instead of making his catch and leaving it for me to find he wants to protect it and keep it as his own and obviously play with it, but sheesh I just don't wanna and I'm a little concerned and it's simple anytime, anywhere he'll bring me a "toy" mouse and plop it in my lap for playtime, so far he's only plopped the "real" mice at my feet for toss. I'm on my guard here.
