About me

Hi,

Just a little bit about me. I'm a nurse by profession ( I teach aerobics and personal train part-time). There is no greater joy to me than contributing to the well being of any other life, animals included. The nursing profession as it is today ended up being too top heavy politically for my comfort level. In other words, too many chiefs and not enough indians. So I'm changing my career right now and I'm almost done. That's why I'm starting my dance partner search. I've been heavily into fitness my whole life and I've only entered a few fitness and aerobic dance contests. With all the strength, dance and fitness training in my background, it would be a shame to waste it. Besides, this is something I really want to do. The right dance competition partner will be the finishing step I need to start being very competitive. A simple statement of fact is that I'm at least 2 to 3 times stronger than the average male dancer. Yes, I know strength isn't everything when it comes to dance. However, consider a partner more than twice as strong as any other partner you've ever had. In any realm of any discipline, over twice the power makes a big difference. Just think about this, what if you somehow doubled your body's strength. How much more would you be able to do ? Well maybe the next best thing is a dance partner like that. "For couples dancing, the man is the frame, and the women is the painting." Juliet Prowse.

As far as rest of me goes, I'm pretty average. I love dance ( I want to improve), art, music, motorcycles ( I have two classics), sports cars and trucks. Working-out is a major part of my life. It consists of weight-lifting, rollerblading, jogging, aerobics, dance class, etc. Cross training is also in my regime. One should do different things for activity. For instance, even though I have no children of my own, sometimes I'll take my friend's kids to a park or something and just throw a Frisbee around with them. Kinda like rent-a-kid (just kidding). The kids love it, my buddy and his wife have a couple of hours to themselves and I get some cross training in. I'd call that a win, win, win situation.

My new career will allow some time flexibility, so I can dance. The pay is better too. Also, I'll be able to help things more than when I was in nursing. It's still in health care, but it's nature is rather sensitive and cannot be discussed openly on the Internet.

I like to go out too, new showings of different stuff like artifacts, art, technology. The local concerts are great too. Hey, it's a big world out there and most of it finds it's way to Manhattan. Might as well enjoy it.

One last thing. I know in today's world it's not "fashionable" to be an old fashion gentleman. Well I am ! So, if that's not cool, too bad. I'm pretty stubborn. I know there's a bunch of people running around saying, "it's the '90's, it's the '90's...", thank you, I'm fully aware of the date. That just ain't gonna change this ol' boy. A real man is a gentle man.
