Original Poems Written By Diane E. Porter
"Please God Don't Listen"
That night I went to your house, and saw your heart break in two
You were crying because your husband said, that he was divorcing you
I saw the pain you were feeling and the tears in your brown eyes
I heard the pleading in your voice, for God to let you die
I have never seen you hurt like that and what really makes it bad
Is the man that broke your heart that night, happened to be my Dad
I love you Mom, that you should know but I love my Father too
I was stuck right in the middle and there was nothing I could do
I could only sit by you and watch silent as you cried
And I prayed God didn't listen as you asked if you could die
Please God, never listen, when my Mother asks to die
"Big Bad Wolf"
Hey there, Mr. Big Bad Wolf, in your little red mustang car
You don't have to lie to me, I know who you are
I'm just Little Red Ridinghood, searching for a friend
I just fell in love with you but Grandma won't let you in
Hey there, Mr. Big Bad Wolf, won't you stay awhile
I'll make you feel right at home, in my Little Red Ridinghood style
Come back later when it's dark and only stars can be seen
You can be my Big Bad Wolf and I'll be your Ridinghood Queen
We can reign together through the night, be alone until the dawn
When I wake, I won't even have to look, I know that you will be gone
See you later, Mister Big Bad Wolf, when you find you need a friend
Come on back to Grandma's house, Little Red will let you in
