"The Visit"

I close my eyes to the pain and fears

That enjoy torturing me

When I close my eyes, a veil is drawn

Where happiness is all I see

Then behind the veil, a light appears

Bright enough to make me blind

A Unicorn with golden hooves and horn

Says "come child, leave this world behind

Then it must have been by magic we flew

To a place very far away

The Unicorn nods it's head and says "look"

Where there were numerous children at play

They played on clouds of fluffy white

The songs they sang were sweet

They wore halo's above their heads

No shoes apon their feet

They played together as children will

And no arguing could I hear

They were there all by themselves

I saw no grown ups near

I said to the Unicorn "May I ask why"

There's no adults to oversee

The Unicorn said, as if to a babe

Listen my child, to me

They see not color of any kind

So predjudice causes no pain

Each has the power to love, not hate

Because with love, you only gain

Happiness is all they seek

From Loving one another

Never is an unkind thought at hand

They are to much like each other

These my child are what all become

When life expires on Earth

It seems to be what most would call

The perfection of rebirth

So go now child and spread the word

Peace and love should rule your land

If they can have it here, you can have it there

It's up to the creatures called "man"

Don't look for colors that aren't really there

Don't argue about wrong or right

Don't try to buy each other off

And soon you'll see the light

Then I opened my eyes and realized

What the Unicorn had showed me that day

We can change our world one by one

To make peace and love our way

For every minute you let hate in your life

You lose sixty seconds of love
