William J. Grooms
On June 17, 1933, Detective Grooms was dispatched to assist in the escort of Frank Nash, member of the infamous Barker Gang, back to Kansas City for his transfer to the prison in Leavenworth, Kansas. He along with fellow officers and FBI agents were killed at Union Station that fateful day.
Detective William Grooms was buried on June 19 at Mount St. Mary's Cemetery in Kansas City, Missouri
