Dave lived some of his life in Oklahoma before moving to Harvey, Indiana in 1928, where his brother Adam had his first major brush with the law while visiting Mary Rankin in Hammond, Indiana. Dave eventually settled in Ohio working out his life and retiring as a coal miner. The FBI had approached and investigated Dave at the coal mine and interrogated him regarding his brother. They had questioned him as to his were abouts and the origin of a watch Dave was wearing. They kept a watchful eye on the whole family in the area. Dave and his brother Joe were the last two family members to see Adam alive the day of the execution. Neither brother witnessed the execution at Adam's request but remained close by to recover their brother's body. Returning it to Joe's home of Bolivar, Mo to be interned at the Greenwood Cemetery with Dave's assistance. Dave married Sophie Balazy and had two children, Clarence and Elizabeth. Dave Riccheti was born 29 Aug, 1903 in Welch, West Virginia and died 10 Dec 1987. He is buried at the Mount Calvary Cemetery.
