The History Is
it a registered society? Objectives

Activities
In 1986, a few Buddhists in Teluk Intan wished to form a Buddhist Association. At that time there were only a few members and they started by using one of the members' house as a gathering center. However, as time went by, the number expanded and the venue shifted eventually to a rented Shop Lot in Jalan Manggis. The Buddhist society later was called Buddhist Association of Hilir Perak.
Over the years, more and more Buddhists joined the Buddhist Association and this resulted in a space constraint. The committee members then felt that a larger building was necessary to facilitate various events like Wesak day, Ullambana, Anniversay Celabrations , Camps and so on. Through some fund-raising Projects, we acquired our own premises and moved in in November 1994.
The Buddhist Association of Hilir Perak is now located at the following address:
No. 1125 A-B, Jalan Jawa,
36000 Teluk Intan,
Perak Darul Ridzuan,
Malaysia.
