APPERLEY POOLS Apperley Pools are two old Clay pits next to the Banks of the River Severn in the Village of Apperley in Gloucestershire .

This pool is lined with over hanging trees giving good cover for fish to hide. Bream & Roach catches can be good here in the summer ! In winter live bait fishing for Jack Pike can be good fun here too. MAIN SPECIES : Carp to 10lb+ , Tench to 5lb , Pike to 5lb+ , Bream to 4lb+ , Roach , Rudd , Dace & Eels. APPERLEY POOL 2
Keith Wildgoose with a Apperley Pool 2 Common & John Williams with a Apperley Pool 2 Common Apperley Pool 2 is the larger of the two pools with a depth of around 6ft to 10ft in the margins & 12ft in the middle. This pool is lined with over hanging trees , Bushes & Lilly pads giving good cover for fish to hide. There are some big Carp , Bream & Tench worth catching here in the summer! Carp can be taken on a hot summers day with floating Bread crust. In winter live bait fishing for Jack Pike can be good fun here too. MAIN SPECIES : Carp to 20lb+ , Tench to 5lb+ , Pike to 10lb+ , Bream to 6lb+ , Roach , Rudd , Dace & Eels. Note: Both Keith & I are BAA Bailiffs for the Area and have fished Apperley pools Many times. There are some Very Big Carp to be found at the Pools , well worth giving this place a try as it is also well under fished. No night fishing is allowed. Birmingham Anglers Association
