AMENDMENT

The enumeration in the Constitution of certain rights shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people. |
The first ten amendments (or any other amendments) specifically grant certain rights to the people. Those rights not mentioned are still retained by the people. Amendments IX & X go hand in hand. See Amendment X. Those powers/rights retained by the federal government are specifically cited in the constitution. Any power/rights not mentioned in the Constitution are retained by the states & the people. |
