CONSTITUTIONAL POWERS ABUSED BY CONGRESS

  1. Congress is the ONLY Branch with the power to declare war. Our armed forces should NOT be involved in "conflicts" because of an Executive Order by the President! The last time Congress issued a declaration of war was WW II. Congress must put a "check" on every President. That is one of Congress' powers.

  2. Congress is the ONLY Branch with the power to legislate bills and appropriate money from the Treasury! Therefore, Congress controls the purse strings and is the branch of the Federal Government held responsible by the people for fiscal responsibility.   3. Congress is the ONLY Branch with the power to organize, maintain, and discipline ALL our Armed Forces (through legislation and appropriation)! Our Armed Forces and the Defense of our country are in deplorable conditions. Defense is one of the specific responsibilities of the Federal Government according to our Constitution. Our Armed Forces include veterans who have been getting the short end of our taxes. Instead of focusing on defense issues, our taxes are being spent on many unneeded social programs.   4. Congress is NOT ALLOWED to pass legislation, circumventing the Constitution and the Constitutional Rights granted to the People! IT IS UNCONSTITUTIONAL & therefore, IT IS ILLEGAL to change the constitution or its amendments through legislation!

Article V of the Constitution specifically outlines precisely the only two methods for proposing an amendment. Only after the requirements are met for proposing an amendment can it move forward to the only two methods of ratifying the proposed amendment before it can become an amendment to our Constitution.

The 1st and 2nd Amendments have been and are still being attacked and legislated by both Republicans & Democrats in Congress.
