Doctors</U></div> <div> <I><B>(WARNING:  VERY EXPLICIT PICTURES)</B></I></div> <div> I contemplated for a long time on putting this page on our site, but after a lot of deliberation,  and talking to the other owners of the group,   I decided that we need to know the dangers that are lurking around every corner for us.</div> <div> Here is the story of a friend of mine and what she went thru in her quest for pain control.</div> <bR> <div> I am going to call this person, Angel.  Angel lived in a small town, where Drs who knew much about RSD were not abundant, and in her search she ended up with one that was a self-proclaimed expert and talked Angel in to having an SCS implanted for her pain.</div> <div> She had one problem after another,  infection was running  rampid in her body, and the pain was most of the time worse than what it was before she had the implant.  She went thru this for along time till she finally had enough and had the Dr remove the SCS.   Following the removal, she was sent home with the holes in her back as you will see in the pictures below.  She was told to change the bandages herself,  which was impossible so the task was left up to her Mother.  Her fear of infection in her spine was a horrible nightmare.   She went repeatedly to the ER where she was told to go home and let it heal, as you can see in the pictures, this would be very hard to accept.  In the end she was flown to Chicago, by Angelflight were she was finally treated, and eventually the holes healed up.   </div> <div> In the end she discovered the DR who implanted her SCS,  was a Plastic Surgeon!!!</div> <div> The reason for this page and story is to tell and show everyone just how very IMPORTANT it is to be sure to check out your Dr. and thier credentials before you ever let them touch you.    Quackery at is finest is the only term I can find to use that describes what Angel endured at the hands of this butcher who proclaimed to be an expert.</div> <div> The pictures are very graphic, please do not look at them if you have a sensitive stomach.</div> <div> I do mean to scare anyone, but I do want them to be well aware of what can happen to them, if they do not check out HSPACE="0" VSPACE="0">  This was where the battery pack was implanted and removed.  Why they stitched it up and not the hole in her back was they said it would drain better.</div> <div> <IMG
