This was actually written for a friend of mine who is so dear to me I have no words to do the reality justice. She is someone who has been with me for a long time now. She was in the middle of her life one day and did the unthinkable......she decided to move across the country to pursue her dreams. I wanted to give her encouragement for being strong enough to go even when it looked like such an impossible task. And I wanted her to realize in those moments when she was going to be weak and questioning her decision that I still believe(d) in her and her choice was the right and true choice even when she was sacrificing so much in the start and the finish was in question. Sometimes it isn't if you win or lose it's that you play the game.

You have been like an angel to me, or a songbird in the brilliance of morning. Shine like the sun. Know that I love you and that my prayers are with you, that the happiness and joy you bring may come back to you. As light is brightest at it's center, and radiates outward, you are. As a pebble drops into water and ripples are made,
so you effect. Depth and love are your gifts and your spirit shows it.

Reach for your dreams, for they are yours to have, that your light will shine brighter, and someone's darkness will be broken. Your mission is sacred, and your faith is strong, you will be fine. Release your fears, cast them out. When you think you are lonely, remember God is with you, and when you look into your heart to find Him, I will be there too. Even if you are tired, you are enough. Even if you think you can't, you can. Embrace your beauty and your strength.

Sit still and feel my love from here, (I feel yours from there) look into the sky and see the rainbow which connects us. Remember that truth is love, that love is pure, that these are good and they never change.

Experience will give you knowledge. Knowledge will bring you understanding, and these together will bring you wisdom. Smile and laugh, you need them. Play at will.

Close your eyes and breathe.....relax for a minute and think. You can rise above and go beyond stereotypes. Circumstances can only delay you, there are no limitations which can stop you. Don't forget to hope in expectation, never hope in desperation.

Look into your heart to find joy and peace. If you let  them be, they will be. Trust in God who gave these to you. Do not be discouraged at the ignorance of the world. Be encouraged that I believe in you. I watch you, and every good thing which comes to you I celebrate as if it were my own victory. And for every delay you suffer, take heart and be encouraged, I will be here.....standing by you.

Let me tell you a secret about love.....I know about love that goes beyond distance, beyond time. As new and fresh as the excitement of that of dizzy infatuation, with the comfort felt within a relationship of time which has that  "knowing"  about it. It is God's manifestation of a gift within me. Not sometimes, but always---even now.
So much a part of me I take it for granted every once in a while like the organ that even now beats within my chest. So true and complete it fills my very body as my essence. It fills the space between the East and the West, between the Earth and the sky, between the moon and the stars. It is the encompassing of my awareness. I am never alone.
This is my love, and you are the last remnant of it in this world outside the past, but this is more than enough for me to love the whole world. These are sacred things between us. These things in love which we give to the world that we are not a part of anymore. Smile in our purpose, we are chosen and protected as we spread light, and we are never alone, God Himself walks with us and dwells in us. This is the secret.

A young boy and an old man were walking along a beach. And as they were walked, the boy picked up every starfish that he passed and threw them into the sea. The old man asked him why.....
"If I left them there they would dry up and die,"  he said, "I'm saving their lives."

"But the beach goes on for miles and there are millions of starfish," the old man said, "how can what you are doing make any difference at all?"

The boy looked at the starfish in his hand, threw it into the ocean and answered :
"It makes a difference to that one."

A flower is still a flower even if it is surrounded, (obscured) by weeds. Know that you are special to God,
for this is true and will give you hope and help you go on.

There once was a stonecutter, who was dissatisfied with himself and his position in life.
One day, he passed a wealthy merchants house, and through the open gateway, saw many fine possessions and important visitors.
"How powerful that that merchant must be!" thought the stonecutter.
He became very envious, and he wished he could be like the merchant. Then he would no longer have to live the life of a mere stonecutter.
To his great surprise, he suddenly became the merchant, enjoying more luxuries and power than he had ever dreamed of, envied and detested by those less wealthy than himself. But soon a high official passed by, carried in a sedan chair, accompanied by attendants, and escorted by soldiers beating gongs. Everyone, no matter how wealthy had to bow low before the procession.
"How powerful that official is!"  he thought,  "I wish I could be a high official!"
Then he became the high official, carried everywhere in his sedan chair, feared and hated by the people all around who had to bow low before him as he passed. It was a hot summer day and the official felt very uncomfortable in the sticky sedan chair. He looked up at the sun. It shone proudly in the sky, unaffected by his presence.
"How powerful the sun is!" he thought, and wanted to be the sun.
Then he became the sun. Shining fiercely down on everyone, scorching fields, cursed by farmers and laborers. But a huge black cloud moved between him and the Earth, so that his light could no longer shine on everything below.
"How powerful the storm cloud is!" he thought and wished he could be the storm cloud.
Then he became the storm cloud, flooding the fields and villages, shouted at by everyone. But soon he found he was being pushed away by some great force and realized that it was the wind; and wished he could be the wind.
Then he became the wind, blowing tiles off  the roofs of houses, uprooting trees, hated and feared by all below him. But after a while, he ran up against something that would not move, no matter how forcefully he blew up against it.....a huge, towering stone.
"How powerful that stone is!" he thought.
Then he became the stone, more powerful than the anything else on Earth. But as he stood there, he heard the sound of a hammer pounding a chisel into the solid rock, and felt himself being changed.
"what could be more powerful than I, the stone?" he thought.
He looked down, and saw far below him the figure of a stonecutter.

Peace and harmony unto you,
may this find you with nothing missing,
nothing broken.
Let love surround you
and protect you,
may success find you and keep you,
may happiness lift you into
your sweetest dreams and set you
into the best reality.
Health and blessings from Heaven
come to you from God's own hand
and prosperity overtake you
in abundance.
May your strength increase,
your courage grow
let your purpose be defined and
may you never lack knowing to lead you.
May your Spirit renew and soar.

Once upon a time there was a fish.....As he was swimming one day he met a fisherman.

"What are you doing?" he asked the fisherman.

"I'm gathering fish....."  the man said, "because there is a shark around here and any fish I gather, I will protect from the shark."

So the fish thought about it and asked, "Will you protect me too? I'm afraid of sharks."

"Of course I will protect you too, you are a very nice looking fish." said the fisherman. So the fish hopped up into the man's net and was protected from the shark in the man's boat.

Later that day, as the fish was looking into the water from the boat, he saw a shark.

"You see," said the fisherman, "I told you there were sharks, but now you are safe and don't have to worry about them."

The shark heard this and came up to the side of the boat and said, "Hey fish, what are you doing listening to that fisherman? Don't you know he's going to eat you?"

"That's not true," said the fish, "he said he would protect me from you."

"Little fish," said the shark, "in the boat you are safe from me, but you are not safe from the man......at least in the water you have a chance to get away from me and have places to hide and rest. Where can you hide in that boat?" asked the shark.

"I don't believe you," said the fish, "you are a shark and just want to trick me back into the water so you can eat me."

"Good-bye little fish." said the shark, and he swam away.

The little fish felt so smart that he got in the boat and was protected from the shark.

"Thank you Mr. Fisherman, " said the fish, "for protecting me from the shark."

"Thank you fish," said the fisherman, for staying, and you're welcome for the protection, but in return for what I did for you, I now need a favor."

"What would you like me to do?" asked the eager fish.

"I would like you to have lunch with me because I am hungry after gathering all these fish." replied the fisherman.

The little fish suspected nothing until he was in the net again, and then he understood he was lunch for the fisherman, and the shark had been right all along. But the fish found out his mistake way too late, and the fisherman ate him for lunch right there on the spot.

The End.
