How complex is it to become a Christian?
This is Christ and the way to get to know Him in a very few paragraphs.
Jesus Christ was born in Bethlehem to a virgin. He was human yet He was so much more. When God created man He loved us so much that He gave us the free will to choose to love Him back or to turn our backs on Him.
Because Adam and Eve sinned against God, and we are all descendants of them, we are all born with sin in our lives. You don't believe that hang around some little kids for awhile. They lie, they cheat, they'll steal from one another. No one taught them that. It our nature to sin because we are born with that sin in us.
God the Father is Holy. This means that He CANNOT be in the presence of sin. So, we obviously cannot go to heaven to be with Him. There is nothing we can do to get rid of our sin. There is NO WAY that we can get into heaven.
But , God loves us and wants to be with us and wants us to worship Him. So, what can we do?
The answer is we can do absolutely nothing.We are on our way to hell (the only alternative to heaven) and there's not a thing we can do about it.
But God has a plan to let us be with Him.He would come down to earth in a human body and trade places with us. He would live a perfect life without ever sinning ,since sin was not in Him, and then trade that life with us.He would give us a sinless life as a gift so we can get into heaven to live with Him.
To do that He needed a body. This was Jesus . Every person is a trinity. There is the body ,the part that can be touched and felt. It is where the soul lives. There is the soul, the part that is you. Bible says "the eyes are the windows of the soul".The soul "lives"inside the body.The conscious thinking part,the part that cares and reasons is the soul. It is the real you and it never dies. Then there is the spirit,the part that communicates with God.
God is also a trinity. The Son ,Jesus, is the body.The Father is the soul and the Holy Spirit is the spirit.So, the Father came to earth in the body of Jesus to take away our sin.
But God is also just which means He can't let sin go unpunished. He HAS to get rid of it somehow. The way He did that was to come to earth, live a sinless life then allow Himself to be condemned to death.When He died it wasn't just a normal death. Everyone knows He was crucified. But so were 1,000's of others. What made His death different?
HE DIED FOR US. We desrved to die and go to hell because of our sin.He came and took our hell for us. It's just like if we were accused of murder and given the death penalty.THEN someone said,"No . I'll die in their place."SOMEONE had to suffer the horrors of hell.When Jesus hung on the cross it says the Father turned His back on Him. The sun stopped shining and all hell broke loose. While Christ hung on the cross Satan was allowed to run wild torturing and tormenting Jesus. Jesus suffered the equivalent of eternity in hell in three hours on the cross. This was suffering HE did not deserve. I did and you did. But He took the pain and torture for us.
Finally He died and was placed in a tomb. Satan undoubtedly thought he had won. He had killed the mighty Jesus.But then three days later Satan got a surprise.He wandered down to the grave and found Jesus wasn't there anymore!!!!!!!!!!!!He had risen from the dead to prove that He was who He claimed to be, God Almighty .
His only condition for you to receive the eternal life He paid for on the cross is that you believe that He actually died for you. That when He was on the cross, He died for you and to take away your sin.As soon as you believe that with all your heart (not just your head) He will save you from hell and give you eternal everlasting life. After that there are some things you need to do to continue to serve Him. But what you just finished reading is THE SIMPLE TRUTH OF JESUS CHRIST. And that's all you need.
