WELCOME TO KKARNOPP'S PLACE
Family How important is family? Very important. I love my family very much. My mom, who gave me life in 1970, gave me life twice when my family and I learned of my kidney failure in 1987, and in March, Mom donated one of her kidneys to me so I can live a normal, happy, and healthy life. Ever since the transplant, my family comes first. I have had a lot of support from all family members. Having normal family spats does not count. I love my parents - all four of them - very, very much.

My grandma, one of the people I grew close to for twenty-seven years, died on October 1, 1997, one day short of her 78th birthday. Both my mom and I have dealt with the loss rather well. I miss Grandma very much, of course, as I don't have a Grandmother to call and have girl chats with anymore.

All of my life, knowing my grandma was one of the things I love to know. Her stories of her childhood meant a lot to me. The memories of doing things together will always be cherished in my heart and mind forever. I love my grandma still, as she has a special place in my life now more than ever before - an angel sitting on my shoulder when times are noot always going the way as I plan them. With Grandma gone now, I can look up at the sky and say my grandma is up there in the heavens somewhere where the eye can not see.
