Sate3's Music Page
Last Updated Aug 31, 2000

Here are some of my favorite songs. I basically included here the songs that I didn't find in the other  real audio Arabic Music pages that I know of. To avoid redundancy and due to web space limitations , I was not able to put here the 4 zillion songs that I like :) ; so I hope those will do for now and I will attempt to update them frequently as new songs emerge . I realize that many of you love classic Arabic Songs by our beloved Arabic Music Giants , like Umm Kalthoom , Fareed El-Atrash, Abd El7aleem , Najaat, M. 3abd Elwahaab, Layla MuradFayrooz and Asmahaan , just to name a few , but I don't have enough web space here to post multiple-MegaBytes-long songs  . The songs that I listen to are of every sort and every language and that is reflected in this collection .

You will need the RealPlayer to listen to these songs . Click on this iconto get the latest version for free, or you may choose to get the "Plus" version for a fee, to get some extra features in your Player. Now lean back on your chair, have your favorite snack and beverage handy and enjoy !

Arabic Songs

Mayyaada Bselees:  Kizbak 7ilu Natalie Ra7 Daayman Ihwaak (I Will Always Love You)
Mayyada Bselees is a talented Syrian female artist from the City of Aleppo. She has an "angel" voice. Check her out and judge for yourself :) . By the way, the song "Ra7 Daayman Ihwaak" , is an Arabic version of the song "I Will Always Love You" of Whitney Houston.

Iman El ba7r Darweesh:  Albi 7abbek (My Heart Fell in Your Love) Ana Ma'balsh (I Do Not Accept)
The song "Albi 7abbek" has beautiful lyrics. Check it out. He says somewhere in that song: "Ana albi mosh milki f'eedi....Gaabek we'9abbek fi wareedi"!. The second song , "Ana Ma'balsh" probably summarizes my general position in this life. :)

FOUR-CATS:  Ammi Boo Mas3ood (Uncle Boo Mas3ood) Ya Naseeni (Oh You, Unmindful of Me) Hanna Essekran (Hanna, The Drunk)
FOUR-CATS is a Lebanese band made up of 4 female artists. They are frequently referred to as the "Arab Spice Girls". The songs that they did so far are famous Lebanese Folklore songs. The music of the songs however is "modern" :) Check 'em out.

Kulna Sawa is a new Syrian Band that is made up of 7 male and one female artists. The female artist is from the city of Sweida, my original hometown in Southern Syria.
