In the early morning hours of August 4th 1914
Germany opened the Western Front of the Great War using the plains of Belgium
as the gateway to France. This scenario simulates the first months
of the war by featuring the execution of the Schlieffen Plan. The attempt
by Germany to end the war quickly by capture and occupation of Paris.
There are several routes from Germany to Paris, all of which offer their
own tactical advantages and difficulties.

Victory Conditions

The German side must defend Metz and capture both Brussels and Pairs in order to gain victory.
Remarks
------------
This scenario is designed to be played solitaire from the German side; i.e. all aggression must be supplied by the human player. The French AI has been set to be on the offensive as a simulation of the failed French Plan XVII. If playing as a PBM game, it is recommended that the German side be awarded +2 prestige and +2 experience for play balance.
