Background
----------------

The Conquest of Serbia 6 October 1915:

Early in 1915, Falkenhayn made the decision to eliminate Serbia and open an unobstructed land route from central Europe to Turkey.  The first step was the transfer of German divisions from the west t eastern fronts.  These troops would partake in the offensive against Russia (June-September) and then deploy for the invasion of Serbia.  The German and Austria-Hungary armies were placed under the capable hands of General August von Mackensen and the date for the invasion set for early October.

As the generals were planning troop deployments, both the Allied and Central Power politicians were working behind the scenes to bring Bulgaria to their side.  While the Allies had little of material wealth to offer Bulgaria, the Central Powers had plenty of Serbian and Macedonian territory to offer Bulgaria as spoils of war.  Bulgaria sided with the Central Powers in order to gain the lands she had been denied in the Balkan Wars of 1912 and 1913.

The German and Austria-Hungary armies kicked off the invasion on October 6th from the north and west.  They were followed a few days later by the Bulgarians from the east.  With the Serbs out numbered two to one, the final outcome was never in doubt.  The most significant event of the battle was that the Serbian commander, General Radomir Putnik, was able to extract much of his defeated army from the grips of the enemy and move them during winter  through the Albania mountains to the coast.  Once on the coast, the French would evacuate them to the island of Corfu, re-equip the army and finally move them to the Allied enclave at Solanika.  In 1918, these same troops would be the spearhead of the counteroffensive, which freed Serbia from the Austria-Hungary Empire.

Victory Conditions
 ------------------------
This scenario is a race for the Central Powers to capture all of the objectives before winter arrives.  In winter, the Serbs will have time to regroup while most of the Austria-Hungary and German divisions are deployed to the western and Italian fronts.  Capture of the Island of Corfu is especially important since this will block the escape path of the Serbian army.

Remarks
------------
This scenario is designed to be played in the solitaire mode with the AI playing the allied side.  When played as a PBM game, it is recommended that Austro-German prestige is set to +2.
