Best friend, my well-spring in the wilderness!
George Eliot
This page is dedicated to Sally, my very best friend in the whole wide world. I love her for who she is.
To the query, "What is a friend?" his reply was "A single soul dwelling in two bodies." Aristotle
God gives us our relatives- thank God we can choose our friends. Ethel Watts Mumford
Sally and I have been through alot together. In fact, we have been through more together than we really care to discuss. There have been ups and downs and ins and outs. Through it all we remain the best of friends. Our relationship is very special. Not only is it a true friendship, it is also a spiritual relationship. We also know that we were sisters in another lifetime. We know we can call each other day or night (and we have done so) and get whatever support we need. Even if that support is just to listen. We have been known to buy the same things without the other one knowing. We can feel when each other has problems, be it health, spiritual, or whatever. Since Sally and I met 12 years ago, we have not lived closer than 1 1/2 hours to each other. Both of us were born and raised in Ohio and are now living in Georgia.
For these reasons and many others that are difficult for others to understand, I Love her with all my heart.
A friend may well be reckoned the masterpiece of Nature. Ralph Waldo Emerson
The greatest sweetener of human life is Friendship. To raise this to the highest pitch of enjoyment, is a secret which but few discover. Joseph Addison
Be courteous to all, but intimate with few, and let those few be well tried before you give them your confidence. True friendship is a plant of slow growth, and must undergo and withstand the shocks of adversity before it is entitled to the appellation.
George Washington
