Dream 4 (RF2292)
From: June 24, 2002

Setting: a school bus shuttle, two school buses

Time: Saturday afternoon, scorching heat

Characters:      Me             Kalin
                                               Phillip

Editor's Note: All in all this is one of the other kinds of dreams I have, one that's not entirely coherent with what's going on in my mind. The concepts that came to life in this dream are concepts I've attempted to forget until the return to school in August 2002.

So the dream kicks off on a Saturday afternoon at this shuttle (shuttle in this case meaning an assortment of between twenty and thirty buses packed full of kids in a stadium parking lot). Given that the day is Saturday, all but two of the buses are gone, and the remaining two are the subject of the dream.
Apparently, as I fail to recall the next part, the two buses are en route to the Georgia Institute of Technology for a little show-and-tell visit. I'm there with my dad, and he's off talking to someone from Tech (he's a Jacket alumnus, you see). Kalin and Phillip arrive; no, I don't recall how…for all I remember, they could have been dropped off or arrived with Genie's flying carpet…Nonetheless, I stroll over to greet them. They ignore me, as though I'm this wino hanging out behind a liquor store. Kalin looks at me, and then continues talking to Phil.
A major problem I have with my personality is the fact that I cannot tolerate being deliberately ignored by someone I trust. That showed, plain as day, when I rushed up behind Kalin and shoved him to the ground. He got up and thought about trying to take me on in a physical match (I am, by the way, several inches taller and more than a dozen inches heavier and much faster than he is).
So, now that I have the attention I wanted, I show them around the general place, and then they decide they'd had enough of hearing my monotonous voice and decide they want on the bus. By now, the temperature is extremely high, around 30 degrees Celsius, and everyone at the shuttle is sweating heavily. Backpacks are wet with sweat runoff and the like.
They approach one bus, and I leapfrog them in line, hopping on first. As they look to find a seat, I pass by Phil and Kalin and offer them the ultimate sneer and leave the bus. The dream ends with me standing outside, watching the little people in the buses.

Post-dream quotes: I cannot believe this one, because it recalls thoughts I haven't had in a long while, such as the Phil-Kalin-G-Tech connection (in blind ignorance, I suppose [no better way to put it, in my eyes], they decided two or so years ago to go to G-Tech), and the shuttle, which I haven't seen since the third week of May (2002). And to top it all off, I had the song, listed in the music log, play in my head despite the dream.
