Setting: My driveway and garage
I was just walking outside into the garage and I see Zan and Ben walking up my driveway. I think that they don't want to or care to see me, considering that I don't even know the bus guy's name (Ben). So I continue to wander around my garage.
They come up to me and Ben says, "Hey, I just dropped by to see how you are doing, a month later."
And I was like, "Huh? Oh my!” I look and find a calendar somewhere and it says July 21. “It's July 21! Wow, I can't believe you remembered, good memory!"
Apparently, I had said something in German to the whole class on the last day of school to the tune of, "Just you come see how I am in a month,” and he just happened to be in my German class, too. Well he did exactly what I told him to do.
Next, I talk to Zan a little bit, debating whether to bring up NYLF (deciding not to), but I call him Zan, I guess, not bothering to ask his name. I also figure he's the same person from NYLF because he is from Roswell, not too far to keep him from meeting Ben.
Anyway, both of them then go and talk computer jargon with my dad for a while, and when they're leaving (walking down the driveway), they get to talk about recently past birthdays, and I was like, "Hey! My birthday was on..."
Ben interrupts, "July 9," and gives me a smirk.
I was like, "Wow, how'd you know that?" and, like a total dork, followed them into the street. They were walking home too, by the way.
