Real disappointment! Following some good recommendations, I bought this model. The sprues looked promising from distance of 50 cm. But after few minutes of closer checking, I realized that this model is nothing more than a toy.
I'll give a quick pictorial overview:
The hole for main wheel is far too big (detail A) and goes over the front panel line (detail B). Many panel lines (generally too deep) have wrong positions and/or angles (details C). The interior of main gear resembles to barbecue and it is completely wrong (detail D). Main wheel has wrong dimensions and completely wrong relief of central disc (detail E). Tail wheel is slightly better but not correct (detail F).

The fuselage suffers from very serious dimensional diseases. The first panel (detail G) is too short (1 mm!), the hole for the motor-cover is too long, the cockpit place (detail H) is far too long (1 mm !). Distribution of lines on back part of fuselage (detail K) is completely wrong. For some reason Italeri gives 5 instead 7 lines (drawing) and this is one of the reasons for thinking that Italeri designers didn't have good drawings during the preparation of tools for this kit. Interior sidewall details exist (details M and N) but they aren't acceptable for serious modellers. The existence of the seat belts (detail P) is also not an advantage, because they are totally useless and should be replaced.

I'm not one of those modellers that would disqualify some model because its general dimensions are 1-2 mm wrong (this is also the case with this model). But I cannot understand why Italeri at the end of 20th century made a model of aircraft that is extremely good covered by literature, pictures and drawings in such a bad way. Almost everything on this model is too long, too short, too thick, too thin, too small or too big and/or wrong placed. Some of these mistakes are passable, but many of them make this model not acceptable for modellers that know how real Bf-109 looks like.
Recommendations: If you are under 10 or you have a wish to put wrongly shaped spinner to fuselage which back part has randomly distributed lines, or you want to have a main gear combined of good cover, "barbecue" interior, too thin leg and too big and thick wheel (with wrong relief) – it is a good Bf-109G-6 for you. For the rest of modeller population – give 3 USD for this kit if you are interested in good decals, good instruction-sheet and 10% of plastic parts that are acceptable in this box. The rest should be found somewhere else.
