HELLER

'INBOX Review'

Reviewer: John Lacey (rec.models.scale)
Another of Heller's twin engined pre-war / early war reconnaissance bombers and once again, kitted in 72nd scale by Heller only.
Raised panel lines, thick transparencies and some cockpit sidewall detail are typically Heller, the cockpits themselves being very Spartan with seats only, these being moulded into the cockpit floors. Undercarriage is nominally in a lowered position, however the inclusion of gear doors moulded shut and requiring to be split to access this feature mean that 'gears up' is an easy step to take.
Instructions are standard format, with a single page of multi-lingual history with warnings and construction symbols on its reverse. A second fold out sheet has two pages of six construction steps and a single page of colour scheme and decaling.
A single colour scheme in standard pre-war / early war French 3 tone uppers over grey lowers is noted with Humbrol numbers only, one for the colour charts here.
Decals are provided for one airframe of 2eme Escadrille of Groupe d'Reconnaissance 11/33 of 1940 and include separate roundel centres. Decals are standard Heller with a satin finish and should provide little if any problems.
In conclusion, another important early war French bomber and a worthy addition to a collection featuring these type of aircraft. Naturally, scheme conversions for later war aircraft would be possible, providing careful research is done.
