SP820
Preamp/Discriminator
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The MTB Associates model PC820 Preamplifier/Discriminator is a high sensitivity PMT processing system for photon counting applications. The preamplifier incorporates a high speed, low noise, FET input transimpedance design that is protected against high voltage transients. The discriminator utilizes a unique automatic pulse burst stretch compensation circuit to virtually eliminate base-line shift errors. In addition, the output incorporates a non-retriggerable MECL one-shot that can be adjusted ofer a range of 8 nanoseconds to 10 microseconds.
FEATURES
- adjustable pole-zero cancellation - easily adjustable tranimpedance
- count rates to 50 million/second - excellent gain and threshold stability
- single point grounding - low power consumption
