BMW beat Jaguar, Aston Martin and Bentley to have their car once again
appear in a Bond film.

Without a question, the best car ever driven by James Bond. Astonished by Aston
Martin DB-5 after driving it himself, Ian Fleming introduced the car in his book. With
only a few secrets, Fleming's car was to undergo major renovations before it appeared in
Goldfinger. The car had the following features:
- Revolving License Plates-valid in all countries
- Bulletproof-Front, Rear, and Side windows
- AudioVisual Reception-on the dashboard, receiving the signal from a magnetic homing
device, with a range of 150 miles
- Tire Shredders-electrically operated and retractable, built into wheel hubs
- Ejector Seat-a passenger ejector seat activated by a red button hidden atop a gear shift
knob
- Defense Mechanisms-built into the armrest, including left and right front-wing machine
guns, smoke screen, oil slick, and a switch to raise the rear bulletproof screen

"Roger's Car," the Lotus was half car half submarine. The car was fully
functional on surface as well as under water.
The car included the following features:
- A Ballistic Rocket-used to destroy a helicopter, from under the surface
- A Cement Spray-affixing to the windscreen of a pursuing car, making visibility
impossible
- An Oil Mechanism-on land it's provides a slick, underwater it acts a smoke screen
- Harpoon Guns-which fire missiles from astern
- A Periscope

With the new actor came the new car or did it. The Volante V8 was a new highly
stylized updated version of its ancestors from Goldfinger. The Volante had some new
features as well as some revisions from the DB-5:
- Tire Shredders-laser beams in this case
- Bullet Proof Body
- Scanning Radio-digital receiver which scans for all police and military wave bands
- Twin Missiles-concealed in the front fog lights
- Jet Engine Booster-propelling the at an incredible speed
- Studs in Tires-making it possible for the car to be driven on ice
- Skis-hidden under the doors allowing the to be steered on snow and ice
- Self Destructing Mechanism-actually used by 007

The BMW is the car for Brosnan, I don't think I can explain it but it's definitely
his car. It's not an English car, nor is it an exotic car, but then again no one is
perfect. My greatest disappointment in the Z3 is that it will always be remembered as the
commercial in GoldenEye and not as the car. Instead of seeing the many secrets it held we
only got to hear about most of them, so here they are one more time:
- Satellite Downlink Capabilities
- SATNAV Tracking Equipment
- Radar
- Emergency Parachute Brake
- Stinger Missiles-hidden behind the headlamps

- Bentley Mark IV
- Toyota 2000 GT
- Ford Mustang Fastback 1971
- AMC Hornet
- Citroen 2CV
- Mercedes Benz
- Renault 11
- Cagiva Motorcycle
- Ferrari 355
