Rolex Magnetic
Watch (Live & Let Die) Bond first gets this watch from M, who is a little mad
at 007 for spending company money and time to get his watch fixed. M changes his mind when
his tea spoon is attracted to the watch from across the room. The secret as 007 explains,
is the magnetic field activated when the winding button is pulled. The field is strong
enough to deflect the path of a bullet. Bond also uses its buzz-saw feature to slice
through a rope binding his hands. Of all the uses for the watch, James uses it to unzip
the dress of a Italian agent.
Seiko
Explosive Watch (Moonraker) This wristwatch, like many other gadgets made by Q had
the tendency to explode. The wind button housed a long fuse wire, and by pressing the time
set button the watch detonates. 007 uses the watch to make an exit, when he is trapped
under one of the spaceships about to take off. Needless to say the watch was a blast.
Seiko Homing
Watch (Octopussy) This simple looking electronic watch is actually a homing device,
for a very expensive egg. A Faberge Egg, with a tiny homing device of its own. The Seiko
acts as a receiver and direction finder for the homer.
Omega
(GoldenEye) It looks like a handsome watch, that helps a person keep time, but this
is not just any person and its not just any watch. It comes equipped with a laser, a
Geiger counter, a miniature saw which can cut through steel or glass, a telex
communicator, and a cellular phone. Oh yeah, it tells perfect time too.
