EVERY "DOG" HAS ITS DAY

Reservoir Dogs is one of my favourite films at the moment, so I thought I might as well make a page about it. Here you will find pictures, sounds, the script, filmograpies for all the characters, links, quotes, a bit of humour, a desktop theme, the music from the film and some videos. It's everything you could want in a Reservoir Dogs pages, and then some. I hope you have as much fun browsing it as I had creating it.

THE PLOT

If you don't know what Reservoir Dogs is about, then here's my quick plot description:

This is the story of a group of criminals and one undercover cop who are put together by the big boss Joe Cabot to rob a diamond store for him. But something goes wrong, and criminals, cops and civilians get killed. The remaining "dogs" return to the rendezvous, where they realise that one of them is a undercover cop. No one knows who it is though, and because of this the film ends with all of the main characters either dead or seriously wounded. It's a violent film that's full of bad language, but don't let that put you off.

Heres what the Variety Movie Guide says about it:

A show-off piece of filming that will put debut writer-director Quentin Tarantino on the map, Reservoir Dogs is an intense, bloody, in your-face crime drama about a botched robbery and its aftermath, colourfully written in vulgar ganster vernacular and well played by a terrific cast.
Strikingly shot and funny opening scence has eight criminals at breakfast arguing the true meaning of Madonna's 'Like a Virgin.' Script fractures very cleverly into an intricate flashback structure that mixes the post robbery mess with telling character and plot details from the planning stages.
To put it chronologically, crime kingpin Lawrence Tierney and son Chris Penn recruit six pros to whom they assign false colour, colour themed names, so that no one will know anything about the others. The diamond heist at an LA jewelry store goes awry, however, when it becomes apparent the cops have been tipped off.
Hotheaded Harvey Keitel takes his injured cohort, Tim Roth, to a hideout where they are soon joined by Steve Buscemi. As they ponder who the rat may have been, in comes psychotic Michael Madsen with a hostage cop. This launches the bloodbath for real.
Tarantino's complex plot construction works very well, relieving the warehouse setting's claustrophobia. Dialogue is snappy, imaginative, and loaded with threats, and the director, presumably with the help of Keitel, has assembled a perfect cast.

If you want to know the plot of the film in more detail, then read the script.

The film stars Harvey Keitel as Mr.White/Larry, Steve Buscemi as Mr.Pink, Michael Madsen as Mr.Blonde/Vic, Tim Roth as Mr.Orange/Freddy, Chris Penn as Nice Guy Eddie and Lawrence Tierney as Joe Cabot, who all play their parts excellently. The film also features Quentin Tarantino as Mr.Brown, Eddie Bunker as Mr.Blue and Randy Brooks as Holdaway.
