This page will be updated from time to time dealing with my mom's side of the family and surnames Im looking for at the moment. So lets get started talking about my mom's family history..

My grandfather came from Polestina Italy. His parents were Pasquale and Teresa "Tigani" Borgese."This is all the information I have on them." His name was Pasquale "pap" Borgese. Born on 8 May 1886 and died on December 24, 1966 in Fayette County, West Virginia. He arrived in the United States on 28 April 1907 though Ellis Island, New York. The boat he came over on was called the SS Nord America.He ended up in Cabin Creek, Kanawha County, West Virginia.That's where he meant my grandmother Hattie Loar. She was born on August 12, 1895 in Whitley County,Kentucky. Her parents were Aaron and Margaret "Lunsford" Loar. She died on December 12, 1968 in Cabell County,West Virginia. They were married on May 25, 1912 up Cabin Creek, Kanawha County, West Virginia. They had eleven childern that all lived to adulthood.

Here is a list of the Surnames Im in the process of researching at the moment. These names have been hard to research because I don't have that much information too go on as where they came from originally before they settled in Eastern Kentucky. Im hoping that someone will see these surnames and might be able too help me out on them somewhat.

1. Moses Loar born 1830 "location unknown at the present moment. His parents are supposely a John Loar and ???" He first shows up in the 1850 census for Lawrence County, Kentucky with a James Parker and Sarah Loar. "still trying to figure out if there is a connection between those two." He married there daughter Nancy Parker. They had son named John Loar and he was raised by his grandparents after Moses accidentally shot his mom by mistake so the story goes. He shows up the 1860 census for Carter County Kentucky with his new wife Luvina ??? Luvina died after 1900 probably in Lewis County Kentucky. Both of them show up together on the 1900 census for that county. They have several childern Robert Loar and Aaron Loar. Moses served in the Civil War **I have his war pension papers** He died on November 23, 1911 in Ironton, Ohio. Im looking for his parents and siblings etc.. There are several people working on him at the moment.
   
   
2. John Lunsford born 1830-1833 "probably in Kentucky according too the information on his daughters marriage certificates. Come to find out he was married prior to his marriage to my great great grandmother. He married in 1854 in Carter County, Kentucky to Nancy Stephens. The had at least one son James Lunsford. Im still gathering up information on this line. He married Millie Ann Sexton probably in Carter Co. Kentucky in 1867.**no proof of this at the moment**. They had the following childern. Mary, Mary Margaret,John, Henry,Charles and Emma.**I figure that he fought in the Civil War but have no proof at the moment.** He probably died somewhere between 1900-1910 in Carter Co. Kentucky. He doesn't show up on the 1910 census for Kentucky. His wife Millie is living with there son Charles Lunsford and his wife Alice Osburne. She is the sister to John Osburne who married Mary Lunsford. Im still looking for John Lunsford's parents and siblings etc.
