Im slowly updating my Genealogy Page where my father's side of the family is concerned. I made a major discovery this past January 2004. I meet a nice lady online who had some information on the Holton family and with her information it broke open a small crack in my brick wall on this family. She had some research work that was done by Dr. James Phipps of Huntington, West Virginia back in the early 1980's .All of his work is located at Marshall University Library in there Special Collection Department. One of his group sheets showed a Lucinda Margaret Beckett born 5 Feb 1855 Cabell Co. or Putnam Co. Wv. She died on 5 Oct 1937 in Lincoln Co. Wv. She is buried at Lincoln Memorial Park in Hamlin, Wv. I have picture of her tombstone. Im trying to find out if her and Peter Jackson Chandler ever married. They had at least two daughters together. Nora May Chandler who was my great grandmother. The other daughter was Susie Chandler. According to the 1880 Census for Lincoln Co. WV. Lucinda was living with her second husband John Tolivar Holton. Peter Jackson Chandler was living with his second wife Mary Jones. Nora and Susie are not listed with either one of there parents in 1880.

I've got some great news to report to you all. I've finally made it into the DAR this past November 2004.It went in as listed belowed.
Thomas Clardy is the one who in American Revolutionary War out of Halifax Co. Virginia.

The webpage where I got these Lovely graphic's is longer available on the net. She shut her webpage down a little over a year ago. But I wanted to pay tribute to her and work that she did.
