BobbyJo was a mother cat who came in when her owner gave up on her. Her kittens, though we tried our best, were too young for shelter life, and died soon after her surrender from an upper respiratory infection. Now BobbyJo is waiting for someone to come in that she can lavish with all of her motherly affection! By the way - she's a Manx.

Elanor is a lovely spayed female Domestic Short hair. She was a stray who was kept for awhile by her finder, and when she became too much for an "amateur" pet owner, she was handed over to us for adoption. At only about a year and a half old, she's ready to give a long-term owner a lot of love!

Ash is a secretive little kitty who enjoys the pleasure of quiet corners. When the people come near, though, he always comes out for a good patting session! One of the few long-haired black cats we've had, Ash is sure to provide ample affection in your home!

A close second in the "friendliest cat" category to Snapple, Kendra (one of our several previously declawed cats in the shelter right now) is a fantastic, good-natured torti. She was abandoned by a family and brought in to us for safety and security, and a new chance at life.

Shirley, like many of her fellow felines, doesn't care for dogs. ("They're loud and they smell rotten," she told us.) Well, unfortunately, she beat up the dog in her last household, so she became unwelcome there. Poor cat - she was only doing what her instincts told her to. Now her instincts are telling her she needs to find a new home!

Simon felt the same way about dogs as Shirley. To make matters worse, Simon didn't care much for the other members of his own species, either! Although he loves human companionship, Simon really needs to be "king of the hill" in his household...anyone looking for a single pet to keep them company?

Yaddo is the oldest cat we have - he's 10 years plus. And yes, it makes him very difficult to adopt with everyone looking for kittens. He doesn't particularly care for other cats, and likes only occasional attention. You could say that Yaddo has almost struck out...and a shelter stay is going to traumatize him greatly. To those that abandoned him - since I can't say worse things to you online: Shame on you.
