Then throw out all the unnecessary laser blasting. YAH! Someone has created a great 3D adventure game for kids! </B></div> <div> <B>Download "Droidworks" to start generating a new generation of androids. Use the parts provided to build many different droids. Arms, heads, batteries, hands, and bodies come together with legs and tracks for an absolute automaton. Then with a wild coat of paint and a disco dance, the robot is ready for work! </B></div> <div> <B>Use the specs on the left side of the control panel to check out a droid and see what tasks it will perform best. Some heads can communticate better, some arms can lift more, and some hands can grasp odd objects. The most efficient droids will be able to perform almost any task with only a small amount of power. This is important, because a droid will have to solve many problems to complete the level! Be sure to pay close attention to the mission briefing, because it will describe what is necessary for a 'bot to pass the test. </B></div> <div> <B>The demo includes only the first mission, and this is unfortunate because it is an extremely large file that will probably take the whole night to download. Luckily, droids will have plenty of play investigating the caves. The robot must explore the entire level to find gears that it will need to fix the broken bridge. The idea is to use small and large gears in a combination to raise and lower a bridge to different levels. Droidmakers will have to find all the gears and place them in the correct position to get the bridge to budge. </B></div> <div> <B>Although "Droidworks" is in many ways similar to the fun 'bot-building of more mature games, the lack of lasers in no way detracts from the excitement and intensity. There are still lots of other obstacles. Robots can still run out of power, and if driven off a cliff, they will break! (We tested this theory several times by accident!)
